This blog explains three procedures; IVF, IUI, and ICSI.

IUI

IUI is the abbreviation of Intrauterine Insemination. It is also known as artificial insemination.

When sperms are acquired from the partner or donor, doctors sort them to weed out the best swimmers and the strongest sperms.

The sperms are injected in the uterus through a catheter through the cervix at the time of ovulation. Once it is done, the rest of the things are left to the natural process of fertilization.

The process of IUI is combined with medication that induces ovulation.

IVF

IVF or In Vitro Fertilization involves multiple steps. First, the ovaries are stimulated so that a greater number of eggs can be produced.

A minor surgical procedure is used for retrieving the eggs.

If donor eggs are used, then the mother-to-be will have to take medicines to synchronize her cycle with the cycle of the donor.

The eggs are mixed with the sperms in the laboratory. It is called insemination. If it is successful, then the embryo starts maturing. Once matured up to the extent doctors feel it right, it is placed in the uterus.

When everything goes well, the embryo gets implanted in the uterus, and you get pregnant.

The Ivf treatment cost in Mumbai depends on the complexity of the case.

ICSI

ICSI procedure is a part of the whole IVF cycle.

The sperms are collected in a cup surgically. They are checked in the lab to isolate the best sperms.

The fertilized egg develops into an embryo. It is placed in the uterus by using the IVF process.

These procedures are performed in advanced fertility clinics by ivf specialist in Mumbai. It is essential to maintain high levels of hygiene while performing these procedures.
